If we are to follow the whims of our captors -- which I'm of two minds on, myself -- we should at least begin by figuring out who is best-suited for what. [briskly]

So go on. [she drops the tree, also casually, and then goes to tear out another. she's not sure how much wood they'll need] I require knowledge of how many are here, and what skills you possess. We will want someone with knowledge of plants to forage, and someone with skill at fishing. We will need a source of fresh water, and likely vessels fashioned to carry and hold our supplies in. Those with strength or skill at construction who can put together the shelters, and those who might construct defenses around the constructs.

And those of you who are more accustomed to living in human cities, well... [a beat. trying to think of something charitable] We will probably need someone to -- gather sticks, and the like.

[ Buffy spends a while opening and closing her mouth. her eyes keep sliding away. on the one hand, obvious power is obvious. she's never tried to yank a tree out of the ground, but she's thinking it wouldn't be as easy as Sif just made it look.

I've done construction work before. And a little bit of fishing 'cept with a rod, not with my bare hands, but I bet I could learn how to do the second.

[hesitates] And I have optic beams. [gestures to his ridiculous shades] I can use them to start fires or clear paths. And--uh, if you feel like taking a break from ripping out trees, I can cut them down. Several at a time, but--we'd have to be really careful.

[Sorry Sif, give her a minute; that ease and confidence of hers is so damn impressive even to someone like Cassie that has seen it all when it comes to other super abilities. And then some. Or maybe she's just a hero idolizer by nature. But still, pretty awesome.

I can grow my body to giant size if it's needed... maybe could help carry large supplies or with any of the building things.

I can make fire. [nonchalant, but if you look super closely and know her more than a little, yep, there's a hint of amazement at that. it still doesn't feel normal. nor does any of the other stuff Extremis has done to her.]

I have a pretty good working knowledge of what plants are edible and what aren't. I can keep my eyes open for fresh water while I'm hunting.

I'm a surgeon. [Which may not even be helpful right now. But Simon has little doubt it will be sooner or later. He could be grudging about offering help, but these people seem to be fellow kidnapping victims, not the culprits. And Sif's strength is implausibly impressive. (Give him a second, this is all still very new to him.)] I'm used to operating with a little bit more equipment than what we have here, but not always by much.

If no one needs medical attention right now, well... [That's most of what he's got, to be honest.] I can cook. Probably. Or at least lend an extra set of hands.
