[ Lucina, having been chosen as Team One's client, decides to demonstrate her grace and elegance by stuffing cherry danishes into her mouth without pause.

(It's not her fault. She hasn't had pastries since she was a child.)

Come and speak to her, she'll make a great—if crumbly—first impression. ]

[ She's in a less-than-chipper mood, despite waking up in a gloriously soft bed and having access to running water and soap. There are people following her around and she's swimming in technology far, far out of her depth. She can't find anything that resembles tea or a tea kettle, nor is there any small ale to be found.

At least the pastries are tasty.

And she's amid decent company, so far as she knows. Lucina stuffing her face sort of reminds her of Merrill, or Bethany on one of the rare birthdays Mother had a chance to bake for. It's cute. ]

Our theme is "animals", hm? You'd look stunning in antlers. Or maybe a giant boar's head as a hat.

[ Lucina slowly lowers the danish from her mouth, looking so thoroughly baffled at Hawke's words. ]

I mean, I'm not a world-renowned expert or anything, but I do know a thing or two about putting together an outfit that's totally comfy yet also chic.

Except shoes. You might have to live with some pain there.

[Cassie is in her general area, awkwardly, looking around before spotting her and offering a little smile. It's one thing to be broadcast to people on the news, as a superhero, but this is a little more out of her range of experience, man. Can't imagine what having to play the client is like...]

[ Yeah, Cassie. Lucina talks like that. The look she gives in kind isn't smiling, but it's far from unfriendly. ]

[ Lucina, being particularly astute, completely misses all indicators of his disability. She gives a polite shake of her head. ]

Is that so? I'm being honest with you when I say my sense of fashion escaped me years ago. [a friendly smile.] And using the word "escaped" is putting it very mildly.

[Allen has had pastries before. frequently, in fact. and in great quantity. but he's been so hungry lately you don't even know. so he is in the middle of inhaling the offerings himself when his hand bumps into hers, and he straightens, with a sheepish smile for her]

I think we're going to need more food. [turning over his shoulder to one of the hovering crew; expectantly] Can we get more food?

[ Lucina waits patiently for him to make his request before piping up. ]

Good day, Allen. I trust you are well?

I'm well now that we're someplace where there's food readily available. [a sigh] Even if I've no idea where that place might be, it's not a deserted island impossible to escape from... which is a sight better, if you ask me.

[another donut vanishes]

[ the camera honestly makes her a little jumpier than she would've thought. wry, over her shoulder to one ] You know, I totally wanted to be an actress when I was a little girl. Either that or a princess. At least one of them's working out, I guess.

[ peter looks pained. he doesn't know what a fashion comfort zone is, but the stylists are scaring him. ]

If this is what you call 'working out', I'm not sure I want to see when something doesn't work out.

Hey, I'm in front of cameras. It counts! [ she waves into one cheerfully ]

Call it optimism. [ turning a smile on Peter ] I like to try it sometimes.

Is that what this is? [sliding over to her, a little bit wide-eyed] Acting? Like a stage performance? It seemed like they just wanted our actual reactions and thoughts...

[he's really super lost here Buffy, help]

I think they like to pretend it's all very real. [ sweet smile at the camera. then she visibly goes oh and frowns at Allen ]

It's called reality TV. ...Do you know what TV is?

[ peter is deeply uncomfortable with this whole thing. he has no idea what a makeover consists of, or why the girl they're supposed to make over needs a makeover. she looks fine to him. he's just going to hover in the background, watching and trying to figure a way out of this until someone forces him to cope. ]

[Notices how he seems to hang back and can't say she totally blames him. Hell, maybe she'd been rather hovering herself, not one especially conscious of... creative things like this particular task enough to feel more than inadequate.]
