The being on TV stuff won't bother you at all, either, will it. [ Because, you're Tony Stark, duh. ]

I'm going to get you something to drink. [so if you need that moment to cry or calm yourself or whatever it is you need, he won't know, and he'll discreetly return in a few minutes with tea and a chocolate donut]

[ Saki sighs, playfully feigning a beleaguered attitude. He won't have to look far, the desk is littered with various office tools. She's a decent enough sketch artist, although obviously untrained — if it is a skill, it's a skill she has no interest in pursuing. That said, it is a little difficult to draw out anything with pens and post-its.

She eventually hands him a scratchy, smudged approximation. Her fingers are completely covered in pen marks by the time she done and Saki wipes them off on her sleeve. ] Body was like. Raw hamburger or something. Showed me her brain once, too.

Wonderfully starchy! [which is all he asks for. right now] Right now I feel like I could eat an entire banquet of these. They might need to get extra. They don't know how we've been living.

I'm well now that we're someplace where there's food readily available. [a sigh] Even if I've no idea where that place might be, it's not a deserted island impossible to escape from... which is a sight better, if you ask me.

[he peers behind him as well and closes the door before sliding closer to see that picture better, because surely it's a vision problem that's making it look so--]

[ Never one to ridicule ink-stained fingers, in fact that probably improves his opinion of her. He listens and takes in the picture, crude as it is. ]

[ A cameraman is hovering a few feet away. Lucina gives him a polite nod and then immediately looks away, nearly cowed, when he tells her to ignore the camera. ]

[ Saki gives a shrug, as if that's the best answer she can provide. ]

It's a dress. Actually — [ Saki tilts her head, giving him a quick look of appraisal. He's a bit odd looking, but far from the weirdest she's seen. ] I think it'd look great on you. Are you the one modeling?

[And -- laughs, a little, awkwardly but nodding in response.] Yep, I'm a stylist... apparently.

If jeans and a t-shirt count as fashion, sure. [There is a little strain in her laugh and the joke but not insincerely, trying to keep that smile too.] I'm on Lucina's team.

[everwalking]

[ugh, yeah, that flattens him a little too. he gives her a small smile as she turns back] All they want us to do is... play along. But it's unnerving, isn't it? And over something like the way we dress...

[he laughs a little] Well, it wouldn't be the first time I've dressed as a clown. [and let's be real, that's what that is. that is a couture clown costume]

But no, I'm not the model.

[eyes wide. how weird is that, right? he has to judge other people's style]

[ Her lips twitch and press together, and it becomes quite obvious she's trying hard not to laugh. After a moment, her gaze is more sympathetic. ]

You should look at it like this. They're totally at your mercy. [ She thinks. Truth be told, Saki neither knows nor cares what the intricacies of this game are. She leans forward, taking a more hushed, conspiratorial tone. ] Think you can get one of them to bring us a pizza?

I am grateful for your help. I imagine I will be needing a lot of it.

[ Read: She has no idea what the fuck she's doing. ]

[ It's easy to return his smile, although she doesn't look quite at ease as the cameraman continues to linger. ]

I am hoping it will be fun. It's a rare opportunity for me, to partake in this -- pageantry.

[Jumps just a little at the contact and words from Effie and, even though her gut reaction makes it difficult for that kind of sincerity to work well (teenage girls, man) she tries to relax.]

[She definitely did need that moment and mumbled another "Thanks" even more choked up than before as he goes, but sincerely glad for the gesture. And when Allen comes back, she's ready to peek out from under the jacket and sounds more herself.]
